RP SAMPLE;;
It was a relatively normal day for the Host Club and music room three bustled about with an usually high level of activity as girls giggled, awed and continued to stroke the egos of each and every Host Club member as they went about their duties. On this dark, dreary day, rain threatened from above in the looming clouds yet would continue to hold out until later in the afternoon. Many of the residents in the music room barley noticed the weather as they were all caught up in their current activities. The overall safe, welcoming aura of the room roped in many of the guests and took them to a whole new world filled with fantastic distractions where something so silly as gray clouds outside the window didn't matter anymore.
It was at this time that the twins, Hikaru and Kaoru, found themselves in a moment alone, separated from the rest of the activities going on around them. Their last appointment had just ended and the new guests had yet to arrive so the twins sat, patiently, enjoying their moment of silence together. “It’s so dark outside,” Kaoru voiced quietly as he stood there gazing out the window. Hikaru only pulled up his foot to chair and rocked back in his seat stretching long arms out behind himself with a wide yawn and nod in response. “It’s probably going to rain tonight or later today.” he replied lazily. Kaoru leaned against the window sill and gazed out with a rather bored look on his face.
A sudden smash from somewhere nearby caught both twins’ attention and the two watched as one of the girls stuttered an apology, her cheeks blazing red. Another of the Host Club members, the one that had apparently caused the reaction, appeared by her side and helped the girl with the mess smoothing over the situation with carefully practiced words that could lull even the most ferocious beast into a sweetly worded trap. Kaoru draped himself over Hikaru’s shoulder, placing his face in his palm, and the two continued to watch the scenes around them waiting for the next customers to approach.
The day had been exciting up until now - with the two of them causing mischief and mayhem all around, taunting the boss until he almost cried, clinging onto Haruhi and suggesting all sorts of bizarre things - the norm of excitement all in between the entertainment of numerous guests. Suddenly though, everyone seemed to find themselves busy, be it with guests or planning events, and the twins felt a wave of boredom threatening to wash over them on the verge of creating a catastrophe for all who would sooner or later become involved. The last scenario where the twins had fought one another and caused hell on Earth for all those around them still seemed to run clear in the minds of the Hitachiin brothers but they figured it would be lousy to repeat such a stunt. They needed to come up with something better, something even more exciting than that. Something that would keep them entertained for longer and something they could easily benefit from. Unfortunately, or rather - luckily - for the rest of the world, the twins didn’t have enough time to formulate and agree on a plan telepathically before a certain commoner walked by catching Hikaru’s attention.
Karou followed his twin’s gaze, curious at what could have possibly distracted him from such an important task, when his gaze too fell on Haruhi. For the slightest of seconds Karou’s stomach twisted into an unbearable knot and his grip unconsciously tightened on that of his brother’s blue blazer.

PERSONALITY;;
Hikaru & Kaoru are very intuitive, though selfish individuals. They think they can often tell right off the bat how someone is and whether or not they will be able to stand said person in the long run. Some might call this being judgmental and though it is, it's been an effective method thus far. Unless someone makes a particular effort to imprint some form of personality into their pre-set forms, the twins tend to go through life ignoring most others. That said, Hika and Kao are not twins that are easily decipherable. They have many talents and often hide their true natures behind a mask of consistent, omnipresent and often annoying nonchalance. The smiles so often found engraved upon their faces may never really be a thing of full sincerity but rather a ruse put in place so as to please their audience.
They are very resilient twins though, due to the two sometimes conflicting personalities they both live with. It is not impossibly hard for them to move on with their lives in cases of tragic events and can spring back quickly from sudden, out of character mood swings almost as if seeming bipolar.
In distinction between Hika and Kao, Hikaru is the more playful of the two. When around young ladies or even elder women, he becomes very outspoken and gentlemanly, and for the Host Club he often involves Kaoru in his antics. He is the ring leader and ever so slightly the more spontaneous of the two. Kaoru is the more exceptionally sensitive twin, but at the same time very patient. He will go all out to save or help someone he cares about but it takes time for them to earn his trust, whereas with Hikaru it is nearly impossible.
Many irksome things that bother or seem to poke these twins in the side are let slide due to their generally patient, calm masks of cheerfulness as set in place. But many things are likely to irk the two of them. Almost never ones to show in the truest form the level on which they've been bothered, one must not be careless whilst around the twins in thinking they are indifferent about the world.
As time has progressed, a few developments have been made in the opening up from the inner shells the two have barricaded themselves in. They are more receptive to criticism from certain individuals and overall, they value the Host Club as family. There is still a long way to go for the both of them but as time continues to trek past, one of the two has noticed a change in the other. Soon enough, the carriage will stop and everything will be different.

HISTORY;;
From the youngest age to that of my last years before Ouran High, my feelings concerning the outside world have remained ideally intact. Due to the identical status I share with my twin Hikaru Hitachiin, I have always been one of two.
When we were young we had a maid.
We loved that maid.
We did. But she ended up showing us the truth that nobody else ever could. She was different.
She left an impact.
She was the only one who ever told us we might never be told apart.
Over the years, we realized she was right. Slowly, we melded from two into one and it soon became obvious that neither I nor Hikaru were thought of as two separate beings. This ended up in resulting the barrier creation of two worlds. There was now only ‘us’ and ‘everyone else.' Within ‘us’ was the world we resided and never before Haruhi would that world open to include anyone else.
The consequence of creating two worlds soon brought upon the need to be distinguished and so the ‘which one is Hikaru’ game resulted.
We would play this whenever anyone tried to approach us and possibly shatter our barrier. Often our audience imagined it was for fun or amusement but in reality we did wish someone would be able to tell us apart.
Nobody ever did.
From then on, whenever anyone tried to become close to either of us or wrote us a love letter, we would force them to prove their worth. By playing Hikaru...
...or playing Kaoru...
...we where able to drive off any potential friends or admirers and keep our world virtually closed off from everyone else.
Eventually one very annoying boss brought an end to this through his creation of the Host Club--
--and his recruitment of us for it!
The Host Club soon became something that we would frequent and ultimately were strung into joining.
From then on, we ever so slowly began to open up. I, the natural follower doing whatever it was Hikaru wanted or suggested, slowly began to notice the beauty of the outer world and, though I still don't care for much besides my beloved brother, I started to feel happy.
The more time that passed, the happier we both became. Especially after Haruhi joined. We became a family.
So now that you know our story,
would you like to play a game?
Let's play the witch one is Hikaru game...
[Upon the arrival of Haruhi Fujioka into the Host Club, Kaoru came to a struggle when both he and his twin began to grow closer to the girl. Haruhi was the girl he could see himself opening up to and befriending more so than just using as a toy. Hikaru seemed to openly share this view as well and, over time, Kaoru came to the conclusion that if she could teach Hikaru what it was to have other friends then he would be eternally grateful to her. It was true that through simply the Host Club Kaoru had become another person altogether but Hikaru had a bit to learn still. With the help of Haruhi and repression of his own feelings of sisterly affection for the girl, Kaoru hopes Hikaru can learn to open up that last bit the way he has. Still, a slight fear haunts the youngest twin. With Hikaru opening up, what will he do when at last the other decides to move on?]
PARENTS:
Hisuko Hitachiin - 45 - software co. worker;;
Yuzuha Hitachiin - 41 - successful fashion designer;;
SIBLINGS:
Hikau - 16 - student;;
Kaoru - 16 - student;;
