{ still in love with judas, baby,
When he comes to me, I am ready, I'll wash his feet with my hair if he needs. Forgive him when his tongue lies through his brain. Even after three times, he betrays me, I'll bring him down, bring him down, down, a king with no crown, king with no crown .
Nabiki woke up that morning in a better mood than she normally did, which was saying something since she happened to be quite the morning person. What was, however, odd that morning was that Nabiki had absolutely nothing planned that required her immediate attention and the house was completely hers until that afternoon. Still in a tank top and a pair of checkered boxers that she wore to bed, Nabiki threw her hair into a quick ponytail while dancing her way downstairs, humming her own tune as she did so, before coming to a stop in the kitchen. It was the staff’s day off and neither of her parents were home and so she went about making a mess…or in other words, baking. “What to do bake, what to bake,” she mused, opening cupboards to see the kinds of ingredients that she had at her disposal. “Oh no,” the dark haired teen started with a pout, “cookies or brownies?”
Biting on her lower lip for a moment, Nabiki started pulling out the things she would need for brownies and started in on her baking. She didn’t bother with a cookbook or a recipe, knowing exactly how she liked them, and went about licking the bowl clean while waiting for them to bake, cleaning up after herself when she was done. The forty five minutes it took for the brownies to cook was spent with Nabiki alternating between cleaning and bending over to peer into the oven through the glass, watching as the chocolate goodies continued to bake. “Hurry up, hurry up, hurry up,” she chanted, as if saying it over and over again would make them bake faster. And then the timer binged and Nabiki was pulling them out of the oven, the kitchen flooding with the smell of fresh, hot brownies. Having no intention of staying her house all day, Nabiki left the brownies to cool while she ran back up to her room to shower and put on a real pair of clothes.
Dressed in a pair of dark denim shorts and a white and black striped tank top, Nabiki slid a flower decorated belt through the loops and went back downstairs, her wet dark hair hanging heavy on her head as she tested how cool the brownies were before cutting them up, eating one while placing nearly half the pan into a plastic container to carry around with her. She still had no idea where she was going, but Nabiki didn’t waste any time in slipping on a pair of flats and leaving her house, almost skipping down the sidewalk but not quite. Her hair was still wet and she couldn’t put it up into a ponytail…not yet…and so she kept having to push it out of her way. Her feet carried her to the park and Nabiki looked around, confused as to why it was so empty, but she stepped through the opening anyway and walked toward a set of swings.
She looked at them for a minute before running over to them and setting down her brownies on the ground next to them and hopped on, pushing herself with her feet before swinging her legs back and forth. The wind from her swinging was slowly drying her hair…very slowly…and she finally stopped, slowing down and then dropping her upper body so that her head was hanging and everything looked upside down. Her hands were still gripping the chains of the swing and it took a bit for her eyes to focus on anything, but when they did she found herself staring at another person in the park and her mouth made a slight “O”.

{Drench yourself in words unspoken}Live your life with arms wide open Loud, obnoxious noises began to fill the empty house as what could be assumed to be an alarm clock began to go off. The sounds of More Than Alive by The Ready Set rang throughout the house, startling all inhabitants of the house awake. Sadly, there was only being in the house to experience this shock, and it would have been quite the sight to see had anybody else happened to be there. Sadly, all house personal were set to have the day off and the owners of the house were on yet another vacation, touring the world with their rich friends because they could. They loved relishing in the feeling of their wealth and weren't set to be back for several weeks. This left only one person to be startled awake, not including the cat that also happened to be quite startled. Only the cat witnessed what went down in the following moments.
Large brown eyes shot open in a startled reflex, shutting quickly in response in the bright lights that filtered through the open window next to the bed the person currently occupied. A loud curse was uttered by the young girl, followed by a statement of My eyes! This was always followed by a rather irate mumble of curses, which was then followed by the daily ritual of getting ready for school. Yes, this occurence usually happened on the weekdays, quite common when the young Valentine heiress was awoken for school. However, it was the weekend, and Ariana had not been ready for an incident such as this to happen on the weekend. So, several events transpired that would not regularly happen.
After the rather rude awakening of the awesome blasting full power, because Ariana could sleep through anything beneath that setting and a regular alarm sound was just so cliche, slim hands flew up to cover the young woman's burning retinas. As she did this, she sat up in her bed, startling the cat that happened to be curled up next her . Startled by the sudden movement, the ginger girl jumped, moving her several inches to the left of her bed. The sudden movement caused the the sheets of the bed, the ones that were already tangled around her figure from her constant twitching in her sleep, to ensnare her legs and trapping her movement.
The end result? Ariana Valentine found herself personally greeting the floor. The floor wasn't exactly the nicest and most welcoming of people. It didn't help that the cat that she scared earlier was now poking her with its paw, personally exacting its revenge. What a way to start her morning. "Ughhhh," groaned the young woman as she lifted herself up and off the cold floor, rubbing her face to try and ease the pain that had accumulated upon contact. "That hurt! Why did you do that bed? Why did you startle me like that alarm clock? You're supposed to be on a two day vacation," she proclaimed, looking up said objects, wondering why exactly her alarm clock had gone off earlier.
Picking herself completely off the floor, she began to brush off any specks of hair or dirt that could have made friends with her pajamas with her impromptu introduction to her hardwood floor. Finding herself clean of anything, she sighed heavily as she pulled the sheets that had traveled to the floor with her and throwing them back on the bed. She didn't bother to make the bed, knowing that she would just mess them up later anyway. Even though her parents got on her case for not keeping her room neat, saying it wasn't proper of a young lady, she never listened to them and just did what she wanted. It wasn't like they were home to see her room frequently anyway.
Sighing once more, running her hand through her orange-colored locks as she did so, she made the decision that she wouldn't be able to go back to sleep after such a rude awakening. She looked at her bed in once more in longing, as she hated to wake up so early, before she tore her brown eyes away to begin the daily routine that she had kept for as long as she could remember; shower, brush teeth, brush hair, dry hair, straighten bangs because they dried stupidly, get dressed. This daily routine never changed, always staying the same. She had long since been put on autopilot, thinking about the day and other important things as she performed this ritualistic procedure. It was only when she was getting dressed that she actually began to pay attention. Couldn't pick something totally off the wall, could she?
So, after much thought and picking and choosing, heavy sighs and rejected articles of clothing, she came upon what she wore for the day. Though simple, it fit her perfectly and showed just what kind of person she was. Consisting of a pair of a pair of light denim skinny jeans and a slim fit black tee with Nyan Nyan, the poptart kitty, her outfit demonstrated that she didn't care how she looked while going in public, how she didn't need to look perfect for everyone and she would rather wear a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Pairing the outfit with a multitude of bracelets made of piano chord and a pair of dark purple Converse High Tops, she was ready to face the world.
Grabbing her cellphone and wallet, as well as her headphones, she made her way downstairs, stopping in her kitchen briefly to grab a cereal bar for breakfast before making her way out the door. Grabbing her keys and locking the door on her way out, pausing on her doorstep to quickly shove her keys in her pockets with the rest of her things, she made her way towards town, leaving the empty house behind. No way was she going to stay in that gigantic house with just her cat. The overwhelming silence almost echoed while she was there by herself, and it creeped her out. Anywhere would be better then there, which is how she found herself wandering aimlessly, eating a cereal bar this early in the morning.
After sometime of just randomly walking, no destination or need to do anything, Ariana came across a tiny little park. It looked almost completely empty, save for the random girl her age that was hanging on the swings. Brown eyes looked at the girl in confusion as she entered the park, walking towards the swings. She felt like she had seen this girl before, but she couldn't exactly be sure about it. Well, it wasn't the feeling of previously meeting the girl, just like she had seen her face before. Maybe she just had a face that made her think of somebody she knew. Whatever the reason, Ariana continued one towards the swings and the girl, showing a friendly smile when the girl noticed her. "Hi there," she said friendly when she was an appropriate distance from the girl. "Mind if I join you?"

Post by Haruka Fujisaki on Jul 18, 2011 17:41:59 GMT -8
It was a bright, sunny summer morning that Haruka’s eyes flickered open and the young girl stared at her ceiling. What a night. She’d dreamt of so many things that she couldn’t remember a single one of them! It worried her sometimes how active an imagination she had. No matter though, it was a new day for new experiences! Sitting up quietly in her bed, Haruka brought a hand to her forehead and tried to catch brief memories from her minds eye as to what she’d dreamed. Only slight glimpses of the dream returned though, among them blurred faces and rainy streets. Haruka couldn’t quite grasp any real storyline to her dream and at the moment she didn’t care to ponder it as she yawned and stood before going to stand in front of her giant closet to browse for something to wear. It was Saturday and she didn’t have any plans so there wasn’t much to base her outfit off of. Hm…maybe she’d call Nabiki later and make plans for something. She was back wasn’t she? Maybe? Hopefully?!
With a content, dismissive nod, Haruka browsed through her clothing and selected a white summery dress, very bright that matched her personality. Slipping into it all on her own, she dressed herself without the aid of her maids and soon found herself skipping downstairs. Expecting to see the smiling sunshiny face of her younger brother, Haruka was rather surprised as she noted that the kitchen and living areas were all deserted of her family. Hm… oh, that was right, Satoshi had a soccer game today and her family was probably attending or else at work. Haruka felt a small wave of guilt wash over her. She had never said she would be going but she knew how much Satoshi liked it when she watched and this was the second time she’d forgotten! Oh well, next time for sure she’d go!
As she moved through the kitchen, Haruka set out a little dish of seeds on the porch like she did every morning. The girl had recently taken to feeding the birds and squirrels after having caught one of the latter trying to attack an neighbouring birdfeeder. She had always wanted a little bird; a cute little parakeet or finch. Haruka sighed quietly to herself and finally she opted for the last resort and snatched a peach off the counter before skipping off and exiting her house. With a call back that she was going for a walk, the girl began to make her way down the street. With the peach in one hand and a smile on her face, Haruka grinned in a friendly way to passers by and continued on. She stopped then suddenly as a beautiful little butterfly flew across her path and landed nearby on one of the displays in the front of a little flower shop that the red head was familiar with. Pretty Petal’s Flowers and Shrubs. As a little girl, Haruka had always visited when she went with the nanny on errands or at times with the maids when they were asked to put in orders around the holidays. She was on friendly terms with the shopkeeper and decided she might as well pop in for a moment and say hello. Sticking her head in through the open door, Haruka called out a greeting and waved. The shop keeper waved back and the girl was just about to step out again when one of the clumsier workers suddenly dropped the flower pot he’d been carrying.
Haruka jumped at the sound and tuned to see the boy hurrying to clean his mess behind the outside display. A severe sense of déjà vu overcame the girl and she immediately grabbed at her arm remembering what had happened the last time she’d popped in for a quick greeting and a flower pot had been dropped, in that exact same location too! Smiling at the unfamiliar worker, Haruka gave an apologetic smile for startling them and quickly exited the flower shop. A sigh of relief escaped her then as the girl moved in the direction of the familiar little park, just down the street.
As she approached, the girl nibbled at her peach not quite enjoying the taste as she usually did. This one was sour and she decided to toss it as she approached the trashcan by the gated entrance. As she did, Haruka suddenly spotted two familiar faces by the swing set. Eyes widening, a perky grin spreading across her features, Haruka rushed over and grabbed at the girl on the swings, her heart almost in her mouth.
“BIKIIII! YOU’RE BACK! OH, I MISSED YOU SO MUCH! HOW WAS YOUR VACATION! You didn’t get sunburned did you? Did you bring me back a souvenir? Oh I missed you so, so, so much!” the rush of word vomit that erupted from little Haruka’s vocals made the small red-head dizzy as she gripped tightly to the waist of her best friend. The past few weeks had been so lonely without her! Haruka really had nothing much to do with herself without Nabiki these days, especially since Kyoya had been even more elusive as of late. But the little red-head thought nothing of such misfortune now as she clung with all her might to the raven haired beauty before her. It wasn’t until she turned ever so slightly that Haruka remembered the other girl, one she’d seen before but could not quite recognize. “Oh, you too! Hi!” she exclaimed, cheerily, still clinging onto Nabiki tightly.
[o.o;; this is choppy and messy but haruka's slowly coming back to me! she missed biki so much, kazu xDD~]

{ still in love with judas, baby,
When he comes to me, I am ready, I'll wash his feet with my hair if he needs. Forgive him when his tongue lies through his brain. Even after three times, he betrays me, I'll bring him down, bring him down, down, a king with no crown, king with no crown .
Nabiki stared at the red haired girl for a second, trying to figure out if she looked familiar or not, before deciding that it might be easier to tell if she wasn’t staring at her upside down. A pair of purple Converse attracted her attention and she gaped at them, suddenly wanting a pair even though she very rarely wore anything other than flats and heels. But they were purple! “Mind if I join you?” Her eyes were pulled back up, or was it down, until she was staring back at the red head and she grinned, “of course not!” The dark haired girl sat up quickly and stood, spinning around then almost falling as a wave of vertigo rushed through her. Apparently going from hanging upside down to sitting up, standing, and spinning around was a rather bad idea, especially if you were as clumsy as Nabiki had the horrible tendency to be. Linking an arm around the chain and gripping it tightly, keeping herself from falling over as her vision swam before her eyes.
“Oh my, that was certainly a rush,” she said with a light chuckle, once again looking at the girl and thinking now that she looked awfully familiar. Where had she seen her before? “By the way, I absolutely adore your shoes! Purple is my favorite color, and while I’m not much one for tennis shoes, I would love a pair.” Yeah, Nabiki was gushing, and over shoes, but she just couldn’t help herself; when Nabiki was in a good mood it was extremely obvious and she always seemed to be caffeinated. “Oh, you look so familiar, have we met before? I’m horrible with remembering names,” she added, resting both hands on either side of her face, as she continued to stare at the girl.
Now staring wasn’t exactly nice and it had the tendency to make people feel awkward, but Nabiki always seemed to forget that little fact as she studied people. She was just about to offer the girl one of her brownies when there was a motion behind the red head and she tilted her head slightly, blue eyes widening as Haruka came running toward her. The smaller girl ran into Nabiki, arms linking around her waist while yelling. “BIKIII! YOU’RE BACK! OH, I MISSED YOU SO MUCH! HOW WAS YOUR VACATION?! You didn’t get sunburned did you? Did you bring me back a souvenir? Oh I missed you so, so, so much!” Nabiki laughed and hugged her back, resisting the urge to jump and down while clinging to her friend. “Oh my god, vacation was awesome! I got a little burnt but it’s gone now. Ah, and I did bring you something but it’s still at my house!”
Seeing her best friend again after being gone almost the entire summer was amazing and sure, she had fun but come on, who liked being away from their friends for that long? “I was gonna come over tomorrow and kidnap you for the day, but I guess I’ll just have to do it today,” she said with a smirk. “Oh, you too! Hi!” Nabiki blinked and looked back at the red head, giving a rather embarrassed smile because she had honestly forgotten about the girl. “Oh gosh, I didn’t mean to forget you were there. I’m Nabiki,” she said, smiling and then remembering about her brownies. Wriggling out of Haruka’s tight grasp, the dark haired girl turned back to her swings and picked up the plastic container, opening the lid and holding it out to the two girls, “brownies? They’re the best you’ve ever had, I can guarantee it.” Yes, Nabiki really was that egotistical about her baking.
