Character header Image here [/IMG] "Sweet heart, are you sure you're ready for this? I mean, it's perfectly okay if you want to wait another year. It's been quite a while since--"
"Papa, stop it. I'm ready, and I'm going." Tsukiko didn't mean to be disrespectful to her father, but at the rate he was going, and had been going for at least two hours now, she'd never get to school before first bell. That thought sent a rush of excitement through her. She'd been homeschooled in America, which meant she hadn't been in school with other students since she was nine. Today would be a grand adventure, she was sure. She hadn't received her uniform yet; she was supposed to pick it up in the main office. It was quite a hassle to have to change at school, but it was certainly worth it. She kissed her father on the cheek, having to get up on her tippy toes to do so, then climbed into the car and started the twenty minute drive to the school.
Sakairo, her father's driver, dropped her off at the entrance to the school. Oddly enough, there were very few people there. She checked her phone and sure enough, she'd miscalculated the time while she was at home. There was nearly an hour and a half until classes actually started. Oh, well... Time to get to know the building, she supposed. She walked inside, finding the office with ease by the title on the door.
"Oh, my. Sweetheart, are you lost? The middle school is over that direction." The secretary's words were a shock. Okay, so they thought she was a middle schooler. She knew she was small, but good grief! "Actually, ma'am, my name is Tsukiko Namasaki. I'm a new transfer student." She couldn't help but let the embarrassment color her cheeks; what kind of student wouldn't be embarrassed after a small mishap like that? The woman tuttered around her for a moment, then went to go see about her uniform.
She came back a moment later holding a small brown dress. "We're going to have to custom order your uniforms, dear... We've never had a student your size here in the high school. Your own high school uniform will be in by the evening, but I'm afraid you're going to have to deal with the middle school uniform for the day. Is that alright?" Speechless, she couldn't help but agree. She wasn't that strange, was she? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It hadn't even been thirty minutes since she'd arrived at the school and she was already embarrassed and lost. She'd had three different teachers and several students tell her she was in the wrong part of the building... She'd gotten quite flustered. She'd found her first hour class and managed to drop her things off, and then decided that it would be wise for her to find some place to get her bearings and try to calm down so she didn't have a break down in class at some point in the day.
She'd found the gardens. They were beautiful, exotic, and completely foreign to her. Her mother's penthouse apartment in New York had a small greenhouse, but it was mainly weird things like cacti. She had stepped from a beautiful castle into the wild jungle, it seemed. She'd found a bench and was sitting there, basking in the early morning light, for at least ten minutes. She had tied her hair back into a low ponytail, making her look even just slightly older than she had looked a moment before. Wearing a middle school uniform, she needed all the help she could get.
Then she decided that her time could be better used. Her first class was Spanish. Second, English. Third, math, fourth, grammar, fifth, modern studies, sixth, computer applications, seventh, French. English would hopefully be easy. Spanish, however, she didn't have a clue about, so she had carried her textbook out with her. She cracked it open, trying to find out if she could make sense of anything before class started. She still had about an hour, after all.

The spring air gently prodded at the young man's hair as he strode up to the large doors. His smooth, white hands grasped the handle and yanked it open. Cold air swept out of the large and magnificent building to greet him. The Host Club Prince shuddered in displeasure, obviously not enjoying the cold air that was swept upon him. Tamaki Suoh shoved his hands into his pockets and tilted his chin up as he took on the posture of the real Host Club Prince. Why, this was where his favorite job began! Catering to the ladies, of course! Now, he was a sort of womanizer although not quite. Tamaki Suoh only had the best intentions in mind for the girls, even if he tended to break a few in the process without exactly meaning to. But that had no happened in awhile, and of course it did not happen purposely. It was the overly jealous girls that ended up getting hurt.
And of course, poor Tamaki was sent after them to mend their broken hearts. And of course it was mostly a vicious cycle, for they figured right then they were favored! Oh no, Tamaki favored all girls! Not just those certain ones. At that thought, he swept his bangs through his hair and tossed them to the end as he picked up the pace to a long stepped walk. The large, grand hallways were welcoming and beautiful as Tamaki admired them. Oh he admired them everyday, sometimes it seemed more like a habit of his to gaze upon the old walls and smile inwardly. 'What a grand school...' He thought to himself with a smile as he started on again. Maybe eventually he would have his own house, and he would build corridors just like that!
Tamaki threw it into school gear, though, as soon as he strutted into the classrooms. He had enjoyed the attention from the girls, but not when the teacher demanded their attention. Tamaki had sat in boredom, one hand propping his chin up and the other doodling on his paper. He occasionally wrote notes, but his mind wandered much too easily. Besides... he'd do well on the quiz tomorrow anyway. He had all of his History studying down, after all. He ran his fingers through his hair and listened as the woman finally dismissed the early class. He abruptly stood up, grabbing his things and throwing them into his bookbag lazily. And of course the minute he turned around his eyes met with a beautiful young lady. Long brown hair, skinny but not too skinny, and she started begging for his attention. 'Don't refuse her, Tamaki.'
After a few minutes of chatting and complimenting each other, he politely excused himself after kissing her hand. She was a pretty young lady, but he had things to do, people to see! The Host Club Prince slipped out of the door and walked quickly, trying to avoid corridor traffic. Yet his eyes strayed upon a girl going the same direction as him, in a middle schooler's uniform. Her face looked much too mature to be a middle schooler though, and Tamaki followed with a perplexed expression. He quietly stalked her, trying to figure out what she was doing in the high school section if she were wearing a middle schooler's uniform. The Prince furrowed his eyebrows and nibble on his lip as she turned into the garden area. Ooh, a perfect place for questions!
The young lady plopped herself onto the bench and the Host Club Prince happyily sat down beside her. He bent on leg over the other and watched as she read nonchalantly for a moment. The noiseless area suddenly made him feel uncomfortable and he finally spoke. "Young lady, you are in the wrong area." Tamaki teased, a light smile on his face as he turned his body to face her completely. "You are petite, but definitely a highschooler. Why are you wearing those clothes?" The blonde boy asked innocently, his eyes sparkling with curiosity as he stared into her eyes with no insecurity what-so-ever. Tamaki was used to looking girls in the eye, and he knew for a fact it also made them uncomfortable if they were insecure. So occasionally, he lifted his eyes to wander elsewhere.

Character header Image here [/IMG] She was finding out exactly how lost she was going to be when class started. She'd only barely covered the basics with her tutor, but this was in depth. Just by looking at it, she suspected it was higher level, probably a Spanish II class in a regular high school. Oh, well... She'd have to have Papa get her a tutor.
She hadn't heard anyone come out with her. So wrapped up in her eagerness to get away from the presumptuous people that kept telling her who she was, she hadn't noticed the tall blonde, very handsome stranger at all. She was focusing in on trying to memorize preterite verb endings when he spoke. "Holy hell!" The harsh curse, in English no less, spilled from her mouth before she could think. Immediately upon actually looking at him, a blush came over her face. "Oh, crap, I'm so sorry! You scared me..." She couldn't meet his gaze. How on earth had she not noticed him?? She grimaced slightly and bit her lip when she realized that he had continued speaking.
Here she was, first day of real school in years, and she was making a fool of herself in front of the friggin' cutest guy she'd ever seen in her life. She didn't think she'd ever find a blonde that was actually even semi-attractive to her, but hoo-boy, this one took the cake. He had an accent, too... She couldn't place it. He was inquiring about her clothes... She nearly got riled up when he said she was in the wrong place. Then, just barely, she got the hint of a tease. She couldn't help but chuckle.
"Apparently this was the only uniform they had in my size, which is absolutely ridiculous." For some reason, she was stammering slightly. It was just a small conversation... She'd talked to boys before! Okay, not a real conversation with anyone that didn't work for one of her parents. She was in new waters and trying not to drown. This guy was probably popular, knowing her luck... He'd probably spread word about the 'foul mouthed american' by lunch, and she'd be shoved off as rude and incompetent.
At that, she gulped. Maybe she could rescue herself with an attempt at politeness now? It was certainly worth a shot. She smiled at him. "How long have you been out here?" She was focusing on other things now, trying not to look him in the face. She was very much insecure, and the unexpectedness of the conversation had caught her very much off guard. She marked her page in her textbook, folding the corner and closing the book, folding her hands over it in her lap.
The natural-ness of the curse that had slipped from her lips earlier worried her. In a society like the elites of Ouran, there wouldn't be a place for such vulgarity. She'd have to be sure that she fixed that problem before it became a big problem. She managed to look over at him again, somehow forcing herself to look at him. He was beautiful. He had the brightest natural blonde hair she'd ever seen, and yes, she could tell the difference. She'd seen enough blonde dye and bleach blondes in America. His eyes were amazing, and he was definitely used to using them to his advantage. She snapped her eyes away from his, instead moving to look at his hands. Those too were beautiful, if not incredibly feminine. He had long fingers; practically perfect hands for playing both the flute and the piano. Her own hands were petite, but she had the agility needed to play them well enough. Perhaps the guy played...? As her mind wondered that, she realized that she hadn't introduced herself. "Oh, my apologies... I haven't introduced myself. My name is Namasaki Tsukiko. I've just moved back here from America." She was sitting down, but she still managed to bow slightly.

"Holy hell!"
Immediately upon arrival she had sworn in her american accent, obviously bewildered that the host club prince had plopped himself down and spoken to her. He didn't know whether to chortle in laughter or embrace the guilt that was slowly welling up through his brain. Tamaki hadn't meant to scare the girl, quite the contrary! In nervous habit, he swept his bangs out of his eyes only for them to fall delicately back in place, much to his displeasure. In all of his host club years, all of his pleasureable experiences, he had never experiened one quite like this. Already he was bemused by the girl that had been so absorbed in her work, so intent on doing well it seemed that she had not noticed the Prince sit down beside her.
"Oh, crap, I'm so sorry! You scared me..."
Tamaki, at that, let out a professional chuckle. The amusement that he felt spread out all over his face as he positioned himself where his body was facing outward, not feeling like making her any more uncomfortable and embarrassed than she already was. Tamaki folded his long, delicate fingers together and let his chin tuck into his neck for a moment, his dazzling azure eyes focusing on his knees. A soft sigh ecape his pink, plump lips as he let the wind tickle the back of his neck. The sun let wonderous rays of light spill down from the heavens and lighten the whole mood of the scene, sending Tamaki's chin toward the sky and his eyes boredly searching the clouds until she spoke again.
"Apparently this was the only uniform they had in my size, which is absolutely ridiculous."
It wasn't like Tamaki to be so silent for so long, his lips trembling in the effort not to speak as he let the silence soak in for a moment. Finally, his bright eyes came back into her's and his boyish smile turning into a softer one as he nodded eagerly. "Oh how unpleasant!" He exclaimed, his arms rising abruptly to fold next to his chest. A defiant look crossed his face as he pursed his lips and continued on. "They ought to carry more sizes for the beautiful ladies such as yourself!" Tamaki sputtered out, smiling as he stood up and dramatically continued on. "I'll speak to them about it, don't worry. Girls as pretty as you shouldn't have to suffer by wearing middle school clothes!" Tamaki nodded.
"How long have you been out here?"
Then, as soon as it started, it stopped. He sat himself down aagin and tossed his head to the side in order to sweep his bangs out of his face. To no avail. Tamaki smacked his lips, squeezing his eyes shut for a moment as he mulled over his answer with consideration. 'Don't tell her you stalked her.' "Not long... I saw you and I thought you might want some company." He spoke in a joyful manner, his eyes danced with his excitement as he found a new friend. Well everyone was his friend, to correct that he found a new student. "I mean... I get lonely..." Tamaki trailed off, obviously allowing a bit of drama to slip in.
"Oh, my apologies... I haven't introduced myself. My name is Namasaki Tsukiko. I've just moved back here from America."
Tamaki noticed her hands move from her book. He let no look of amazement cross his face, but it exploded inside of him. How tiny she was! No wonder they did not have a size for her! He did, however, let his eyes widen a tad. She was beautiful, but not like the other girls. She was naturally beautiful. Tamaki noticed that she had long, straight black hair with dark, intelligent looking eyes. And even though it was a middle schooler's uniform, it definitely made her look good. Actually, Tamaki would not be surprised if she looked good in everything. She did not match Haruhi, though, she was definitely unmatchable. Tamaki nodded to himself at that thought.
"What a lovely name, Tsukiko! I love it, it suits you." He complimented genuinely, rolling his head back to examine the sky again. "My name is Tamaki Suoh, leader of the Host Club. They call me the Prince of the Host Club." The blonde boy explained with an air of royalty in his voice although he really didn't think he was that important. After all, the club could continue to run without him. It was the girls that were important of course! Girls like her that needed good, genuine attention! Tamaki, though, loved the idea of staying the Prince much longer. After all, he only trusted himself for the time being to completely make the girls happy.

Character header Image here [/IMG] "Oh how unpleasant! They ought to carry more sizes for the beautiful ladies such as yourself! I'll speak to them about it, don't worry. Girls as pretty as you shouldn't have to suffer by wearing middle school clothes!"
His words made her laugh. He was certainly a charming one, wasn't he? He was the type that her mother would fall all over... But he was different, too. His voice was entirely sincere. She hadn't met anyone quite like him before... It was nice. He somehow really meant what he said. And his voice was amazing... He was experienced with sweet-talking women. But... not in the bad way! She'd dealt with enough sleaze balls with her mother to understand the implications that came with their words. He had none of those.
"Not long... I saw you and I thought you might want some company. I mean... I get lonely..."
She chuckled. Him actually coming out there just so she wouldn't be lonely was certainly a confidence booster. She also for some reason, understood the meaning behind the latter statement. It was strange, but she'd spent long enough around Americans who were only interested in her money or her Papa's spas that she understood the longing to be near someone who didn't only see you as an asset.
------------------------------------------------------------------- Mama had called in to work, for once in years. They were having a birthday party - Kiko's thirteenth birthday. Her mother was content to make it an 'event' - a real big deal, in other words. All of Kiko's mother's friend's children were involved. The party was planned, the entertainment was there, the kids had started to arrive. Kiko was nervous - she'd never had a real birthday party.
As soon as the party started, the kids looked disappointed. Most of them were much older than her - late teens. She asked why a pair of them were leaving, and was brought to tears by the response. "We wanted a real party, with a spa and stuff. This is a little kid's party. I thought you were supposed to be rich?" ------------------------------------------------------------------- There had been many disappointments like that, but that was the one that stuck in her head the most. She shook her head lightly, then looked up. She smiled at him, nodding. "Not all companionship can fight that feeling. It takes a friend." It had been nearly forever since she'd had a person that she'd really considered a friend. She was deep in thought about that when she spoke again.
"What a lovely name, Tsukiko! I love it, it suits you. My name is Tamaki Suoh, leader of the Host Club. They call me the Prince of the Host Club."
Sbe blinked at him. Suoh. Suoh. Holy cow. Suoh. The Suoh family? That was incredible! Even she, in America for the past few years, knew about the Suoh family. Wasn't that the surname of the headmaster of the school? Gracious. Oh, well... She wasn't really the type to obsess over that. She'd been on the recieving end of that treatment before... Her ears tuned in to his last statement. "Host Club?" Her eyes asked the question that her voice implied. She understood completely what the title meant. but... a host club in a high school? Well, she could certainly understand that. Gather together a bunch of guys that looked like Suoh Tamaki and it'd be an immediate hit. She was content to leave the question at that and allow him to explain.
