Canon Rules

Alright so canons. The biggest part of any role-playing site and the basis of life on an Ouran site - THE HOST CLUB! *applause* Yes, this oh-so-coveted Host Club is so buffeted every day by the tragedy of not wanting to be claimed but rather rp’d with or dated -- they cry a desperate call to anyone who might want to play one of them! o.o Then, along comes you ‘an undeserving mess! Who would believe your life would be so blessed!’ *sings* o.o oh wait, that’s not right. Ignore my song. x.x anyways, yes! You come strolling along and decide, D: I WILL RESCUE A CANON FROM THE FATHOMLESS DEPTHS OF DARKNESS! I will play them! Of course, I am overjoyed to hear that anyone would say this and am the first one to say, and unashamedly too - no Host can be given to any girl unless the rp-er consents it and the rp-er always comes first in the heart of their character. <3 [I’m not a selfish heart stealer! D: Leave my twins alone >.<] So, therefore, if you truly love a Host, the best way to make them allll yours is to claim them cause then they’re all yours, all the time. >D Of course, canons are not for everyone and therefore I am forced to create rules that will prohibit certain people claiming them that are unfit for the role. Do you think you’re up for the challenge of claiming a canon on OH? Well let’s just see about that!



1. Activity - the most important part about claiming a canon besides staying in character. The simple rule with this one is, log in and post at least twice a week - no excuses. If you know right now that you can’t do that - don’t bother reading further. It’ll only get worse. [And all joking aside, I will be ruthless with this rule. If you don’t post three times a week on more than two occasions, you’re out, no questions asked unless prior arrangements were set up.]

2. Character - all Host Club members must be kept in character at all times, as all canons must be. Do not compromise a character or get them into a bind that you cannot get them out of no matter what fun a plot might promise if you cannot keep them in character the entire time. If this becomes an issue you will be booted out also without question.

3. Relationships - all girls fantasize about logging into an rp, finding their favorite Host, creating a girl character and getting them together. I can tell you right now this will not happen. Unless all relationships are cleared with the admin, NO HOST CLUB MEMBER MUST SHOW ANY DIFFERENCE TOWARDS ANY ONE GIRL. Now, I do realize sometimes things can be fun and all and sometimes allowances can be made. I know there is already a circumstance tied with Kyoya’s character and there could in the future come to be other Hosts with an interesting relationship plot as well but everything must be presented to the admin and gain her approval before anything can be acted upon. I spy on my ickle Hosts very much so don’t think you can get away with it. If anything seems to come up, you will receive a preliminary warning PM and invitation to discuss it but if refused and the plot continues, you’re canon will be stripped.

4. Word Count -- all posts must be at least 700 words. 100 words above our average - can’t handle it, don’t claim a canon. This is nothing to someone who claims they can take on a canon and we encourage much more!


Tamaki
Alrighty, Tono! So, as King of the Host Club, Tamaki has his own additional requirements. Read, Heed, and Obey.
- Many of you may not realize just how important Tamaki is to the twins but I, having played them since I started here, realize just what a struggle it is to post the twins without Tamaki considering much of their lives revolve around pestering this crazy blonde especially at the Host Club activities. This said, it is very important to post Tamaki in every club activity and as much as possible. I have very little leniency with an inactive Tamaki so despite the warnings above, there is more of a pressure to remain active with this canon. This is the only warning you will receive. Tamaki must post with or without Haruhi, the twins or the rest of the Host Club.

Hunny
Ickle babeh Hunnty, next.
- If you decide to go after Hunny then our main requirement is that you actually post him with or without Mori. End of story.
