Johnny Birkman was blind, but don't you pity him. All of his other senses were heightened to do it, and this he bragged about daily. Mitchel Corgan was always out to make quick buck, and with Johnny's ego. He found an easy target. "Johnny," he said one day as the two were drinking their morning coffee. "I bet I could put a cup of ice on the table and by tomorrow morning and I'll have changed it to apple juice, and you'll never hear me do it."
The prideful man Johnny was accepted this challenge wagering his daughter's hand in marriage. So an glass empty was set on the front desk with several ice cubes in it.
Johnny stayed up all night, and never did he hear one sound, so it came as a large shock to him when the liquid in the glass tasted not of bland water but apple juice.
