it's all the same, only the names will change! everyday it seems we're wastin' away... [/blockquote] It was cold. And maybe that was just because Mari was a lover of the warmth, maybe everything under seventy degrees was cold. Yet the brown haired girl knew for a fact... that wasn't the case today. It was too cold for comfort and the teenager did not even want to step outside. She would have match rather sat inside with a cup of sugar loaded hot chocolate, playing video games, calling friends, or sleeping. Yes, sleeping was good. Instead she was sitting out on the front porch debating what she was supposed to do. Mari let out a loud, long yawn. She rubbed her eyes and lazily stood up, raising her arms and stretching them toward the sky. Yes... that felt very nice. "Gotta wake up one way or another."
Despite the cheery comment, Mari was obviously grumpy and in a selfish mood. She wouldn't have been if her mother had not forced her outside and demanded that she get some fresh air and meet new friends. Mari just didn't feel as social as she once was, it wasn't so easy anymore. It was why a scowl was drawn upon her delicate features, her pale arms were crossed over her chest. She had on a pair of jeans and plain brown cowboy boots under them. Normally she didn't dress quite so casually but... it was cold, she was grumpy, and she had to find something quick. She had on a light and creamy colored knit-sweater on and over that she had on a gray jacket. She felt bundled and awkward and hated it.
Mari rather enjoyed the sound of boots hitting the sidewalk as she stalked away. Now, she could have taken her mother's car just to be spiteful but instead she hopped in her own car. It was much more enjoyable. Mari sat on the gray leather, smirking. She knew she was lucky to have her own car, even though she wished for a fancier one.
She had driven for awhile, enjoying the heat in her car. As her mother never said she couldn't use it. Mari pulled up, finally, into Moonlit cafe. She put the car in park in a rather nice parking spot if she had to say so herself. Yet, instead of going inside, she sat out on top of a railing. Where was this railing? Well it just went along with the sidewalk up to the doors. As a child, she would have loved to climb on it, scooting along it all the way up to the door. But now she just sat on top of it, pulling out her cellphone and texting to whoever would open their damn phone. Mari was bored and she needed entertainment then and there. Forget talking to real people when she had a phone, right? Either way, she was content. Even in the cold.
