Getting out of the school hadn't been nearly as difficult as Nabiki had imagined. The fact that it was lunch time and the students were allowed to eat outside helped them get out of the school itself, but no one even seemed to notice when the two girls slipped off of school grounds. Nabiki was so use to attracting all sorts of attention that she was mildly surprised, though pleased at the same time. There was never any staff outside watching the students and the gates were always left wide open. Personally she felt that was a mistake, but anything that helped them sneak away was fine by her, and she wasn't about to go to the office and tell them that they should start closing the gates during lunch. The real downside to all of this was that they were still in their school uniforms, which were noticeable by anyone driving down the road.
The Lobelia uniforms weren't distinctive, not like the bright yellow cupcake dresses the girl's wore at Ouran, but anyone who knew the schools well enough would know where they were sneaking away from. Nabiki could just hope that none of the people driving by actually worked at the school. Despite the worries that were circling around in her head, Nabiki couldn't help but walk with a slight skip in her step. There was nothing more exciting than skipping school, at least not yet, not to mention she was going to be able to swim in the comfort of her own home. It didn't hit her that her parents weren't going to be home until they actually reached her house and she noticed that neither car was in the parking lot. "Hm, it seems that my parents aren't home," she mused aloud, leading Mari to a side gate so that they didn't have to wait for the large iron gates to open.
Her house could technically be considered a mansion, reaching three stories high. It was a rather grand place, though the white color on the outside was rather bland according to Nabiki. She led the way up the concrete steps to the double doors and dug around in her shoulder bag until she found her keys, unlocking one of the doors and pushing it open, revealing the foyer and a set of marble steps leading up. "I'm assuming you don't have a bathing suit hidden away in your bag," she started, turning to look at Mari, "but I have extras in my bedroom that should fit you. Come on." Nabiki made her way up the stairs, turning on the second floor landing and going down the hall, opening a door smack dab in the middle of the hallway.
Every wall in her room was painted a light purple and nearly everything in there had some kind of purple accents. Nabiki smiled and spread her arms wide, "welcome to my room. Its not big, but its big enough for all of my stuff and its purple." She was tempted to run and jump on her bed but managed to refrain herself, instead walking towards a pair of double glass windows and pulled back the thin purple curtains before pushing them open, leading out to a small balcony. She pointed down at a large, circular pool, "there's the pool, and it's usually kept at sixty degrees, but I can change that if its too cold or warm. Now, swimsuits."
Nabiki was moving around and talking rather quickly, mostly from excitement, and it never occurred to her that she might be overwhelming. Pulling out a red bikini she tossed it on the ground, muttering that it was hers before pulling out a couple more. "I have two pieces, one pieces, one pieces that look like two pieces. And they're in all sorts of colors. I have no idea why I have so many," she finished with a frown, turning towards Mari and moving the girl could dig through the swimsuits she owned.

'Cause some don't have the patience!some call me high maintenance! Getting out of school? Yeah that was so easy. Mari was incredibly happy that she was skipping school with probably her favorite person in the entire world. She had a skip in her step as they walked down side walk after side walk, not even thinking about the risks they were taking. How their uniforms were unnoticed. Mari wouldn't mind taking it off. But that was... not good. The brown haired girl had a bright smile as she walked, but she didn't dare ruin the perfect silence they were walking in. How the birds sang and the squirrels scolded in the trees, just made it even cuter. Mari couldn't help but notice how Nabiki seemed to have the same skip in her step and she smirked.
The uniforms weren't as noticeable as the Ouran outfits. You could find them in a crowd, definately. Maybe they were just girls in matching cute outfits? Yeah, hopefully people were stupid enough to actually suspect that. Nibbling on her lip, and glad Nabiki couldn't see, she walked quickly down a road until a mansion came into view. Mari held back a gasp, and grimaced. My house is just as good.' She attempted to assure herself, but this mansion was beautiful. "I wonder what we'd do if they were." It was the first time she had spoken in, like, ten minutes. Her eyes were twinkling as she quickened her step, keeping up with the beautiful Nabiki.
The mansion was three stories high, quite grand in Mari's opinion. Concrete steps lead up to the white big house, with large double doors. Mari grinned as she followed her new friend up the stairs and her fingers graced the door as she walked past. They were smooth and pretty. Flicking her bangs out of her face, she smiled. Her doors were just as pretty, she had to reassure herself. But Nabiki was richer, she had to accept that. Mari had a three story mansion, but not near as nice. Did Nabiki have any pets? The brown haired girl loved animals and had a couple pets at her house that would always run up to her and greet her when she got home. "Yeah... I don't. I didn't exactly think of that." She giggled.
But her heart skipped a beat when Nabiki suggested she borrow one. Eyes getting wider, she felt so excited she might just burst. "You're serious? Oh thank you!" Mari had to stop herself from going up and throwing her hands around the girl next to her. She leaped up the stairs, a happy expression on her face as she looked at the entire place. It was a huge hallway, with nice wallpaper and carpeting. It was so nice. Smack in the middle of the hallway was a door that Nabiki opened. She squeezed her eyes shut as she walked in, waiting to be surprised. She wanted to open her eyes and see it all at once. It was how she almost always did it when seeing her friend's bedrooms.
It was purple. That was her first thought. Purple. Oh how cute! "So cute! So pretty! So sophisticated! It's all that in one and it's awesome!" Mari laughed running her fingers along the bedding on the bed, sighing in delight on the feeling. It was so nice. As she followed Nabiki to the window doors that lead out to the balcony. She gasped at the pool. So pretty! "Maybe like... sixty five or seventy? Not to... I don't want to ask too much of you." She smiled lightly. "But if you don't wanna, I think sixty is fine." Mari smiled warmly. As she mentioned bathing suits, the brown haired girl happily bounced over, watching as the bathing suits came out onto the floor.
And she spotted one she liked. White with large black polka dots. It was a bikini. A little black bow on the side of the bottom piece. Mari gingerly picked it up. "Is this one okay? It looks like it fits me." The brown haired girl grinned, looking at it. She used to have a similer one when she was twelve, and it brought back memories. Yes, she liked it. Most of Mari's bathing suits were purple, pink, or green. So this was a nice change. She ran into Nabiki's bathroom to change. She didn't pay attention to the bathroom at all, she just looked at the bathing suit. She stripped, throwing everything off and setting it in a little pile in the corner of the bathroom. She slipped the bikini on and smirked.
"It fits!" Mari smiled as she walked out. Striking a modeling pose, hands on her hips, throwing her chest out, she walked towards Nabiki and giggled. "Once you get your's on we can head down!" Her face was like a little right year old about to get a reward. Such as a lollipop or something. She settled herself down against the glass door that lead to the balcony. She had her eyes closed. It was nice. Just sitting. After walking all this way. Actually, it wasn't that much of a walk.

Nabiki gave a small chuckle and a shrug at Mari's wondering. "My parents wouldn't care. They might ask if your parents cared, but they wouldn't question you if you said no," she said. Her parents were pretty cool like that, though she wasn't entirely sure if it could be considered a good thing or a bad thing. Even if Mari told them that her parents wouldn't approve then Nabiki's father would probably just give a wink and say "then we'll keep this a secret, shall we?" There was no question about it, Nabiki got her mischievous side from her father, and while her mother wasn't too big on the rules or strict, she had no problem throwing them both dirty looks if they were planning something. "If anything, my dad would find it rather funny that you'd be skipping school against your parents wishes. He's a little odd like that," she added.
They hadn't even gotten to the swimming part yet and Nabiki was already having fun. She also found it funny that she hated swimming in the ocean, was afraid of it even, but she could jump into a pool with ease and no fear. None of it made sense, but she was terrified of ocean water. The closest she would get would be to let the water touch her toes. Nabiki smiled at the excitement in Mari's voice and was half expecting to be jumped and hugged, though since they were on the stairs she wasn't completely surprised that it didn't happen. The reaction that came from Mari about her bedroom only seemed to make Nabiki even happier and a giant smile graced her face. "Aw thanks. Purple is pretty much my favorite color, that and red," Nabiki added, though there wasn't a single red piece of furniture in her entire room. It was a good color in moderation.
She was listening to Mari's suggestions about the temperature of the pool and she gave a nod, "I agree, I personally like having it around seventy. My dad likes having the pool at sixty, but as long as I change it before he gets in he won't even notice." She waited patiently as the other girl picked out an outfit and a small smile twitched at the corners of her mouth. She had bought that bikini last summer and then never wore it, though when she had bought it she had every intention of wearing it all the time. "I think it'll look adorable." After Mari went into her bathroom Nabiki straightened her drawer and closed it up, bending down to pick up her red bikini off of the floor. The thought occurred to her that she could probably get changed out here, but by the time the idea came to her, the bathroom handle was turning again.
Mari came out and Nabiki clapped her hands together with a smile. "Its adorable! She laughed as Mari did her model pose and slipped into the bathroom, changing quickly into the red bikini and coming out, striking her own pose for a quick moment before slipping her arm through Mari's. "Now, off to the pool!" she said, an excited tone in her voice and her arm raising to point the way forward. She led the way back down the steps, making sure to shut her bedroom door before going down and leading the way into the kitchen. The door leading out was through there and she unlocked the back door, opening it and stepping out.
The sun caused the pool water to shimmer and Nabiki made her way over to the temperature controls near the edge of the pool, adjusting the settings. "There's a cabinet by the door with a bunch of towels in it. Could you grab a couple and bring them to the lawn chairs?" Nabiki asked Mari, hoping the girl didn't mind. Before she was going into the pool though, Nabiki needed to take her hair out of the pigtails she put them in every morning. Pulling the hair-ties out carefully, Nabiki ran her fingers through her thick hair and shook it out, loosening the ends. A grin on her face the girl turned and ran, diving into the pool and coming up halfway to the other side. "Your turn!"

'Cause some don't have the patience!some call me high maintenance! Mari was surprised that Nabiki's parents didn't care, but maybe it was just that her own parents were extremely strict when it came to school. A bright smile appeared on her face, and she uttered a laughed. "Seriously? I mean, I guess I'm surprised 'cause my parents are really strict when it comes to school and education." She pulled an annoyed face. Her parents were the kind that didn't settle for arguing, talking back, nothing. Especially when it came to school. They weren't strict at of the time, but most of the time. Mari smirked. "That's awesome. I think that's great! I'd definately trade parents." She giggled, her eyes sparkled, her hands clapsed behind her back.
It was rather surprising that Nabiki said she also liked red. There wasn't a one piece of red furniture in the room! But Mari only beamed like an idiot. She was so pleased to be in Nabiki's presence that she didn't care how weird she might come across. She was almost bouncing off of the walls in excitement! Girls at St. Lobelia would never believe this! Not just that, they would kill to be in her position! Well... maybe not kill. Maybe they'd kill you mentally. Either way. Mari shrugged the thought off, she wouldn't spill a thing. She figured she wouldn't say anything unless someone asked so she wouldn't come across as a freaky fangirl, even though she kind of was. Mari didn't think Nabiki would want to be friends with her if she acted too insane.
"Yeah, whatever you're comfortable with." She smiled. She even beamed like an idiot when she said it would look good on her. She thought so? Great! It was settled. She was so wearing it. "Awesome! 'Kay!"
"You think so? Really?" Mari nearly bounced to the ceiling at the compliment. As Nabiki went into the bathroom, the brown haired girl looked outside at the pool. How gorgeous! Her's was not nearly as big! Forgetting how insecure that may make her feel, she turned around and grinned. Anywhere else, fine. But at Nabiki's house, she was the model friend. As she came out and struck a pose, Mari giggled and clapped. "Perfect! It makes your eyes and hair stand out and look twice as pretty as they already are!" She nodded vigerously. As Nabiki slipped her arm through Mari's, she blushed happily. No, she wasn't in love. That would be kind of gross in her opinion, but it was so cool to be linking arms with a girl just a couple days ago she admired with all the rest.
Mari nodded. "I'll get the towels, don't worry!" She left Nabiki's side and scurried over to the cabinets. She swiftly opened them and grabbed around four, just in case. Putting them on a nearby chair, she admired Nabiki's graceful dive. Mari could dive, but she had only learned a couple months ago and her's didn't look near as good! So instead of diving, she pulled a crazy looking face, leaped, flipped, and landed feet first in the water. She was in the ten feet, and hadn't expected it. She nearly panicked as her feet didn't touch the bottom when she'd expected and she swam awkwardly and quickly back up the the surface, shaking the panicked look off of her face. "It feels good!" She had a goofy grin on her face.
