It was a relatively normal day at the Host Club and music room three bustled about with an usually high level of activity as girls giggled, awed and continued to stroke the egos of each and every Host Club member as they went about their duties. On this dark, dreary day, rain threatened from above in the looming clouds yet would continue to hold out until later in the afternoon. Many of the residents in the music room barley noticed the weather as they were all caught up in their current activities. The overall safe, welcoming aura of the room roped in many of the guests and took them to a whole new world filled with fantastic distractions where something so silly as gray clouds outside the window didn’t matter anymore.
It was at this time that the twins, Hikaru and Kaoru, found themselves in a moment alone, separated from the rest of the activities going on around them. Their last appointment had just ended and the new guests had yet to arrive so the twins sat, patiently, enjoying their moment of silence together. “It’s so dark outside,” Kaoru voiced quietly as he stood there gazing out the window. Hikaru only pulled up his foot to his chair and rocked back in his seat stretching his arms out behind himself with a wide yawn and nod in response. “It’s probably going to rain tonight or later today.” he replied lazily. Kaoru leaned against the window sill and gazed out with a rather bored look on his face.
A sudden smash from somewhere nearby caught both twins’ attention and the two watched as one of the girls stuttered an apology, her cheeks blazing red. One of the other Host Club members, the one that had apparently caused the reaction, appeared by her side and helped the girl with the mess smoothing over the situation with carefully practiced words that could lull even the most ferocious beast into a sweetly worded trap. Kaoru draped himself over Hikaru’s shoulder placing his face in his palm and the two continued to watch the scenes around them waiting for the next customers to approach.
The day had been exciting up until now - causing mischief and mayhem all around, taunting Tono until he almost cried, clinging onto Haruhi and suggesting all sorts of bizarre things - the norm of excitement all in between the entertainment of numerous guests. Suddenly though, everyone seemed to find themselves busy, be it with guests or planning events, and the twins felt a wave of boredom threatening to wash over them on the verge of creating a catastrophe for all who would sooner or later become involved. The last scenario where the twins had fought one another and caused hell on Earth for all those around them still seemed to run clear in the minds of the Hitachiin brothers but they figured it would be lousy to repeat such a stunt. They needed to come up with something better, something even more exciting than that. Something that would keep them entertained for longer and something they could easily benefit from. Unfortunately, or rather - luckily - for the rest of the world, the twins didn’t have enough time to formulate and agree on a plan telepathically before a certain commoner walked by catching Hikaru’s attention.
Karou followed his twin’s gaze, curious at what could have possibly distracted him from such an important task, when his gaze too fell on Haruhi. For the slightest of seconds Karou’s stomach twisted into an unbearable knot and his grip unconsciously tightened on that of his brother’s blue blazer.

You would not believe your eyes, If ten million fireflies Lit up the world as I fell asleep
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - School. Oh how boring it was. The silence was boring her as she leaned up against her chair in math class. She'd finished her test first, while everyone else muttered swears under their breath and continued onward. The petite girl had managed to stay on top of studying this week, and was rather prepared for the test that took place this morning. Oh how she wished she was outside playing. She wanted to smell wet, sun drying wood. She wanted to walk on freshly cut grass. She wanted the sun to cascade down on her light brown hair, she wantd to wear t-shirts and shorts.
But the summer was ending. It was dreadful. It was getting cooler by the day, but not too cool. She wasn't quite the normal Ouran girl. She wanted to be outside. But she, so often, got wrapped up in the the other girl's lives. They talked of their social lives, about their lipstick and nail polish and how someday they would win the affections of an Ouran Host Club boy, evil looks in their eyes. Amethyst, on the other hand, attempted to ignore the stupidity and continue on with her life. But recently she found herself rather attracted to the Ouran Host Club. It annoyed her. She didn't want to be looked down upon like the rest of those fangirls.
One by one, the students finished. Two or three didn't finish in time. 'Class, time is up. Bring your papers up and leave.' Leave? Oh that was nice and blunt. Amethyst could hear the kids chatting, small groans and moans. She couldn't help but smirk, her hair bouncing as her expensive shoes clacked against the ground in rythem. She knew she would ace this one. Ammy put her paper on her teacher's desk, snatched up her handbag (as she prefered to call it), and walked out the door with confidence. She rolled her head to the site, her brown hair falling to the side. She decided she would go ahead and go where she had been wanting to for awhile.
She knew it was a good time, most girls would be off to eat lunch. Her reputation wouldn't be hurt if no one saw her, right? Anticipation glinted in her eyes as Amethyst walked with detirmination. Her blue eyes swept over each hall to make sure no one she knew could see her. She couldn't be caught at this point. She speed continued, she walked and walked. She knew where she was going, that was for sure. Her reputation was being hurt, but only she knew it. Thank God. She shrugged her bad thoughts away. If this turned out bad, she didn't have a lot to lose. She figured the boys would act a bit like bitches, but if it wasn't too bad, she wouldn't mind staying.
She came upon where she wanted to go, her eyes on the big, pretty door. Her small fingers ran along the door handle as she looked at it. Did she dare? Yes. Amethyst pulled up a rather white looking hand and knocked on the door, wincing at what she had just done. Amethyst pulled the doorknob down and struggled to push the door open. Finally. A burst of cold air (as the hallway seemed to be rather hot) welcomed her into the room. She gently walked on, her face looked a little frightened as she closed the door behind her. Everyone seemed so busy. Maybe they wouldn't see her. She still had a chance. Second thoughts came in her mind.
Her hand lifted, she turned back around, her hand was delicately put on the handle. She looked down at her right hand, as it pushed the knob down. 'Faster!' she thought to herself. Amethyst didn't want her repuatation ruined! What was she thinking!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Seems like each time WHEN I’M WITH YOU I LOSE MY MIND - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Busy. Busy. Busy. Those seemed to be the only words that Haruhi used to explain her life lately. There was no other way to, what with the Host Club and school consuming her life. She had rarely seen her fellow hosts outside of school though, which surprisingly made her feel a little lonely. Of course, she'd never admit it, but she really did like when they all hung out outside of club duties.
"Haruhi-kun?" came the voice of an innocent sounding princess that she was supposed to be entertaining.
"Ah! Oh- I'm very sorry... I was zoning out," Haruhi apologized frantically, bowing her head. Her brown bangs fell in front of her eyes as she did such, and she noticed how much they had grown. 'I'll have to get them trimmed soon...' she sighed mentally, making a note for herself. If her hair got any longer she would definitely start looking like a girl again.
"Are you feeling well? You have been spacing a lot the past week, Haruhi-kun," the princess replied worriedly, reaching to brush the bangs from her face.
Caught off guard, Haruhi quickly reached up to grab the girl's hand. Realizing what she did, she blinked slowly seeing the princess's face redden. 'Ah, crap!' she cursed herself, coming up with a cover. "I've just been very busy, hime-sama. But thank you so much for your concern. I'm sorry I've worried you," she apologized, putting on her super cute smile and gently releasing the girl's hand.
"A-a-ah n-no, don't apologize!" the girl stammered, going to grab her cup of tea to distract herself. However, that just ended up slipping out of her nervous, shaking hands and smashed onto the floor. Immediately Haruhi stood, rushing to the other side of the table where the girl sat in shock.
"Are you alright?" she asked with concern, gently grabbing the princess's hands to check them over. She had a small gash from a piece of the broken cup, but that was the worst of the damage.
"I-I'm so sorry-" the girl teared up.
"Don't apologize, it's not your fault at all!" Haruhi smiled, grabbing a handkerchief from her pocket and wrapping it around the wound, "Can you press this to your wound until I come back with a bandage?" The girl nodded, and Haruhi quickly ran off to grab a towel, sweeper, and a first-aid kit.
On her way back, she paused noticing the twins. "Hey guys," she smiled at them, "I guess we're all busy, huh?" Then she quickly went back to her place, cleaning up the big mess. After it was cleaned up, she pulled her chair over by her customer and sat down. "Okay, let me see your hand," she instructed, gently grabbing it again. The princess just watched in awe silently. Gently pulling off the bloodied handkerchief and setting it on the table, Haruhi used an alcohol towelette to clean the gash, applied healing ointment to it, and then wrapped a bandage securely to it. "All better!" she smiled, letting go.
"Thank you so much, Haru-kun," the girl sniffled, wiping her eyes.
"Hey, we all make mistakes. It doesn't mean you should bleed because of it," Haruhi nodded. The girl smiled and hugged her, to which Haruhi slowly and awkwardly hugged her back. After a few moments, the girl finally let go and stood up.
"I have to go now, but can I ask for you again next week?" the princess smiled.
"Of course!" Haruhi grinned. Leading her to the door, she waved as the girl left. About to head back to her table, Haruhi heard the door click again. It was then that another entered. "Oh, hello miss!" she greeted, but then blinked as the other person turn back around quickly to leave. "Uhm, if you were looking for the Host Club you're in the right room," she said, unsure why the girl would enter so quickly only to leave.

{Drench yourself in words unspoken}Live your life with arms wide open Holy snap, Im so tired! These were the thoughts of a young woman known as Ariana Valentine as she sat in the last class of the day, balancing a pencil on her upper lip as she watched the clock in anticipation. There were but a few minuted left and all was quiet in the room as the other students that currently occupied the room also watched the clock. Silence reverberated around the room and the even the slightest sound could be heard. You could literally drop a pen and it would echo, it was that quiet in the small space. These was her least favorite class as well, so it would make sense as to why she was watching the clock ever so intensely. It had seemed even more drawn out than usual and it was becoming even more unbearable by the second. Oh, how time liked to play wicked and cruel tricks on people.
Thankfully for her, though, she needn't wait but more than a moment longer. As soon as she had thought about time playing a sick practical joke against the race of humanity, the teacher released them, saying something along the lines of "Make good choices!" Well, he was weird, anyway. Oh sweet baby Jesus, Ariana thought, almost crying tears of joy as she began to gather her stuff. I thought that boring old man would never end his class, her mind spoke as she placed the pencil she had been practicing her balancing with in its proper pouch and placing her books in her dark purple backpack. While the other inhabitants of the school had designer bags that cost thousands of dollars, she had a backpack that she had gotten for relatively cheap. It was a gift from her grandparents, actually, who didn't have a lot of money and yet still bought her school supplies. She couldn't just deny it! Besides, she liked the color of it. And it actually went over her shoulders and rested on her back! The school had once tried to make her conform and get the "school-approved" bag, but she refused to do it and they left her alone. Three cheers for being rich!
Once all her stuff was placed in its correct section of her bag, she stood up from her chair in the back of the room and headed towards the door, mingling with the others of her class that were eagerly trying to escape the choking grasp and stuffy atmosphere of the classroom. Soon, she was lost in the sea of people, feeling like a fish trying to fight the current. You see, most people were trying to go one way and she herself had to start heading the other way in the crowded hallways. It quickly became overwhelming as the blended colors of blue and yellow began to make her feel a bit claustrophobic. So, gray eyes searching desperately for a way of relief, they came across a door on her side of the hallways. With a few more pushes and shoves, she made it to the door, quickly opening and closing the large wooden structure.
A sigh of relief escaped Ariana's lips as she stood up straight, having been slightly hunched and in an odd position from practically slamming the door shut to escaped the horde. Brushing off imaginary dust that might have accumulated from the hallways that were spick-n-span (as usual), large grey eyes turned around to roam the room that she had currently taken refuge in. Oh how she hoped that is was something along the lines of an empty classroom or the such. Oh, how she was wrong. And her eyes didn't like what they saw. Apparently, she had been lucky enough to come across the infamous Ouran Academy Host Club. Even though she hadn't really been attending the school long enough to make many friends, she still knew who these people were. They were like the gods of the school, being worshipped by many a female. And she had to say, they were rather good-looking.
There were the two twins, devilish and cunning in their mind games. She wondered if it was fun to mess with the general publics heads by playing their mind tricks. There was also Haruhi, adorable and petite. He was so cute, but not exactly in a regular 'cute, i want to date you' way. He was more feminie looking, almost like she would treat him like a little brother. Next, there was the Mori-Hunny combo, Mori being tall, silent, and handsome, while Hunny was very much like an absolutely adorable kid. They perfectly contrasted each other and played on each other's strengths. Next, there was Kyoya, very smart and sadistic looking. He looked like he could be a real demon. Lastly, you had the King, or Tamaki. He seemed like he could be a real handful sometimes, but an all around nice guy. Yes, she had heard much about these people. And she really didn't want to be here. Not in the slightest.

Still clutching tightly to Hikaru’s blazer, Kaoru blinked twice before releasing his brother and taking a calm step back as if nothing had happened. Hikaru, catching every action like a spider feeling it’s web wiggle, threw his twin a quizzical glance which Kaoru promptly ignored turning to Haruhi and watching as the commoner led her latest guest to the door with a bright, charming smile. An irritated scowl crossed Kaoru’s lips as a blush seeped its way into his cheeks forcing the red haired boy to turn away and glance out the window again. Damn that cute smile of hers and the wonders it worked on Hikaru’s imagination.
The aforementioned twin raised a delicate eyebrow and looked over his brother with a deeply concerned yet irritated gaze at not quite understanding what had made his partner in crime act like this. The mere glance of those mirroring eyes made Kaoru shiver and a bright, fathomless smile appeared on his face an instant later - anything to shift the awkward, brooding aura that had come up between them. The moment of clashing emotional turmoil within Kaoru’s lonely self was over for now and no matter what means Hikaru might attempt to use later on to find out what had caused the scowl, he would not cave. Ever.
A sudden noise nearby caught the attention of the twins as two girls, one more shy looking than the other, appeared by their side. The shyer of the two, a petite blonde, seemed to shuffle awkwardly - despite the familiarity of the whole process - as the other, a dark haired girl with vivid eyes, seemed to bounce excitedly in anticipation for their appointment. Hikaru and Kaoru barley so much as exchanged sidelong glances before they both stood in unison, grinning from ear to ear, and bowed to the two girls.
“Here! Finally our two princesses have arrived,” Hikaru began charmingly. “We were getting worried something had happened to you!” Kaoru continued. “A search party was nearly about to be sent out to look for you. Two pretty girls such as yourselves should not be out alone on such a grey day as this.” they concluded.
“Come, come, sit! Join us; we have something exciting to share with the both of you!” one twin exclaimed eagerly. The two girls sat, as the twins pulled out a chair for each one, and gazed happily at the brothers with expectant faces. The shyer blonde fidgeted slightly as the brunette nearly popped right out of her chair in curiosity. “Oh, Hitachiin Hikaru-san, what is it?!” she exclaimed leaning forward eagerly. Hikaru plopped down in a chair at the head of the small table bringing his leg up to the seat as he grinned in response to the question. Kaoru merely smirked slightly as he gazed towards the girl who had aimed her question at him making the usual mistake of calling him by the name of his brother. “Well you see,”
“We managed to nick a love potion from Nekozawa-senpai the other day,” the other responded. Kaoru nodded and leaned against the back of Hikaru’s chair with a sickly mischievous grin. “Never saw it coming,” the boy snickered cheekily. The two girls stared, wide-eyed with admiration, for a moment before the brunette suddenly blurted out, “Can we see it?!”
The twins exchanged a glance and shrugged in unison. “Sure, why not.” they chorused in reply. As Hikaru dug through his blazer for the small vial, a movement by the front door and flash of red hair caught Kaoru’s attention. Turning, the boy looked expectantly at the person with bright hair similar to his own before realizing it was an unfamiliar face and not that of the person he’d been expecting. Hikaru followed his brother’s gaze and couldn’t help but lopsidedly twitch his lip unsure to be amused or anxious for his twin. The person he knew Kaoru had been expecting to see was never likely to come through those doors again unless a miracle from above descended upon Kyoya-senpai’s heartless soul.
Haruka Fujisaki - a bright, fiery-haired, petite and very naive young girl - had attended Ouran Academy for her first year before switching to St. Lobelia shortly after a small mishap with one of the Host Club’s more serious members, Kyoya Ootori. In the short time she’d been at the school though, having been close with Kyoya at the time, Haruka had managed to befriend many of the other Hosts, Haruhi and the twins amoung them. Although she was never able to tell the twin’s apart nor able to really ever become any closer to them than anyone else, the twins hadn’t dismissed her completely from their lives as she had been a very fun little person to use as a toy considering her short temper and naïve nature. They’d had one hell of a time playing with her and aggravating Kyoya to no end. Sadly, after the mishap, Haruka refused to come anywhere near the Host Club because of the cold-hearted boy and thereby deprived the twins of the pleasure to tease and play around with her. Kaoru especially had taken a liking to Haruka because her reactions were so different than the norm; more controlled yet innocently unaware of anything real or mature, she had reminded him a lot of his own brother and beloved twin. Although Hikaru never recognized this, he knew that Kaoru did prefer Haruka to other human toys depending on the situation at hand. The little red head standing, petrified at the door, was not Haruka though and so the twins dismissed her from their minds and returned to their task at hand.
“Ah-ha, here it is,” Hikaru exclaimed. Not but a moment later he proceeded to pull a small vial filled with a misty pink liquid out of the innards of his blazer and held it up for all to see. The girls gasped and stared in amazement at the swirling liquid and then opened their eyes wide as Hikaru moved to un-cork it. “Behold. A love potion of the first degree. A single drop is said to cause impossible infatuation and any more than that - irreversible passion.”
Hikaru beamed brightly as he stared at the faces of the two hushed girls before him. Kaoru smiled in amusement in following along with his brother’s statement before another movement of the red hair caught his attention once more. That girl, the red-head, who technically had more of a lighter shade of hair than Haruka, as he was quick to notice, seemed to be lost. Nearby, Kaoru could see Haruhi greeting another girl, a brunette, and he soon disregarded both boring situations. Spotting the commoner though, Kaoru waved and turned to cup a hand over his mouth and call out to her. “Haruhi! We need a pot of tea over here!” he called obnoxiously.

You would not believe your eyes, If ten million fireflies Lit up the world as I fell asleep
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Oh dear. She was a little too late. Her brunette hair, was it too obvious or something? She could have easily gotten out of here but... she'd hesitated. Again. Did she wanted to be here? Was that really how she felt? Did she wanted to be a fan girl and talk to the Host Club? She didn't want to be one of those giggling girls though, it was rather annoying how they stood in the hallway and giggled and spoke of the Host Club like they were gods or something. Amethyst thought of them as normal... no no, scratch that. Annoying people. Although lately, she'd found herself attracted to that room. Everyday. Well, now was her chance why not just take it?
Too bad, girls were already here. How did they do it? She bit her lip and grumbled something under her breath. Uhm, if you were looking for the Host Club you're in the right room," She hadn't caught what Haruhi had said before, she'd been staring maliciously at the girls beside the twins. Amethyst whipped around, hands behind her. They still held onto the door as if it was still her ticket out even though she knew it was too late. What was she supposed to say? He was a Host! One of the cutest, actually. She was so awkardy and shy, how could she even say anything at all? But she gulped down whatever shyness she had. She must say something to avoid sounding rude.
"H-H-Haruhi!"
She turned red. Okay ,that was NOT how she planned it. She had meant to sound calm and say something. Instead the girl had stumbled over the boy's name. Like an idiot. Ammy really wanted to slap herself right now, but that wouldn't help. She would look derange, she knew that well enough. Well? Go on! Say something, fool! She opened her mouth and quickly closed it. It was like she was mute or something. Crap. Great. She was an idiot. Nibbling on her lip, she decided she mus go on ahead and say something.
"Oh uh. Yes. I... I guess..."
She was so nervous? She couldn't look him in the eyes. Her hair was straightened today, and she was rather worried it would poof up again. She couldn't tell whether it had yet or not, she hadn't gotten a chance to go to the bathroom and make sure her hair stayed the same. Amethyst's hair was like a jungle she couldn't tame. It was annoying. As she noticed, Haruhi's hair was smooth and fit him. It was cute. Wait. Hold on a second. What was she doing? Ammy was not one to just... no. Yeah she was. She just didn't want to admit it. She bit back a sigh of annoyance. Oh well. She was throwing everything out the window at this point.
"I don't... I don't have an appointment. Should I leave?"
She looked a little downcast, a small frown creeped up on her but she didn't fight it off. Amethyst was just going to have to leave, or stay. But if she stayed, what was she going to do? Ammy hadn't thought past this point. Actually, she hadn't thought about doing this at all. It had just sort of happened, so it seemed. Amethyst wasn't much of a 'planner'. She was more of a 'let's do stuff on a whim!' kind of person. Ammy couldn't help but wonder whether Haruhi thought she was an idiot or not. Probably he did. After all, she kind of was. What the hell was she doing here anyway? She could be eating lunch by now. Damn, now she felt hungry.
