Standing in her room still in her pajamas Alysin made the decision to go out today, instead of sulking in her room as she had been for the past few days before she had to go to the new school. Giving her cat a look as his fat and furry body rolled over; taking up the rest of the bed, she walked into her bathroom and stared at herself in the mirror. Her normal braids were coming undone and her tufts looked catty as ever, grumbling to herself she proceeded to undo the braids as the hot water heated up enough to wash her face. She put a headband up to keep her hair from getting wet, and splashed the warm water on to her face, holding her hands there, covering it, as she breathed in deeply. Sighing out she finished her routine and brushed her tangled head of hair out till the long locks were flowing together nicely. She then went back into her room and got dressed, throwing her art things- a few art pads, pencils, and her woodless square colored pencils- into her favorite movie bag. She took a final look at herself in the full length mirror, and then spun on her heel, walking out of her room.
She crept past the kitchen into the front hall area, and opened the door as quietly as she could, hoping like hell that the stupid servants that her mother wanted weren’t up. She wanted to get out of the house and be on her own for a while. And she sure as hell didn’t want to deal with the nosier servants. She stepped out through the doorway and into a bright pre-dawn, and only then realized what time it was. She stood there, halfway in her door, blinking. ”Well shoot…” she muttered to herself, hitting her forehead with her free hand. She stumbled back into her house and made her way to the surprisingly quiet kitchen.
Setting her bag down on the floor she stood in the middle of the room, and then wandered over to one of the cupboards, rifling through it to find the teas she brought from home. Giving a slight ‘ah-ha’ when she found the specific one she was searching for she rifled in another cabinet to find the portable ‘tea-pot’, and found it a few ones down from where she started. Finding a water heater, she started to boil water for tea and settled down at the table, drumming her fingers impatiently. The click of the water heater made her jump slightly in the silence that was the house. Shaking her head at her own silliness she stood and stretched once again, yawning she walked over to it and poured the water into her portable tea-pot, breathing in the scented steam from the tea leaves. She smiled and added a little sugar then put the lid on it, scooping up her bag and heading out the door into an actual dawn.
She wandered for a bit, and then stumbled upon a park. Since it was spring there were flowers all in bloom across the area. She found a spot under a tree and sat, resting against the sturdy thing and rested, shutting her eyes and relaxing for a moment. The moment was broken by her scooping up her bag once again and pulling out one of her pads along with her colored pencils. With her eyes still shut she selected a pencil by a mark on the surface and started drawing on a page she had peeked on to see it was clean of any markings.

A yawn erupted from the blonde girl's mouth as she sat up, her arms stretched over her head and her turquoise eyes still closed. Opening her eyes slowly she saw that no light came from outside her curtains and she turned to look at her clock. "You've got to be kidding me. Why am I up so damn early?" Abbey said aloud, rubbing her palms against her eyes. She plopped back down onto her bed, willing herself to go back to sleep, but after fifteen minutes of lying on her bed she knew that sleep wasn't going to come to her. "Damn it," she grumbled, using the words that her mother hated. Her parents always commented on how dirty her mouth was, but her father always joked about it where as her mother complained about it non-stop. Sighing, Abbey crawled out of the warmth of her bed and dug around in her closet, pulling out a pair of designer jeans and a black tank-top, she dressed quickly and rummaged around the clothes that she had thrown onto the floor of her closet, grabbing a gray hoodie and her blue hat.
Abbey ran out of the house before any of the servants could protest, running her fingers through her platinum blonde hair before tucking it all up under the blue hat she had gotten nearly five years ago now. That was when she realized she was barefoot. Looking down at her feet, she turned back to the house, but if she went back in then the servants weren't going to let her back out. "Fine, barefoot it is then, Abbey grumbled, turning away from the giant house. All she wanted to do was go to the park anyway, which was only a few blocks from her house.
The sky was barely light but as the sun came up it spread along pinks and oranges, coloring the sky. Her hands were behind her head as she walked, and she started to think that she should start coming out this early more often. Not only was it quiet but it felt good. She wasn't a fan of the hot weather, and the cool morning air reminded her of Germany. The park came into view and Abbey smiled. No one was going to be there. After all, it was a weekend, it was really early in the morning, and most normal people were asleep by now. Normal, of course, being a relative word.
With no one in sight, Abbey was half tempted to run towards the swings and go crazy, and she was getting ready to do so when something caught her eye. She turned her head slowly, the rest of her body moving with her, and Abbey couldn't help but arch an eyebrow. After all, she had just gotten done saying that most normal people would still be in bed on a weekend. Abbey wasn't generally one to initiate conversations with other people, but it wasn't every day that one came to the park so early.
Besides, it looked as if she was drawing something. With no artistic talent other than being able to write the occasional fan fiction, Abbey found herself rather interested. Sauntering over in a slow, bored fashion, the blonde leaned against the tree the girl was sitting under and looked down, watching as the scenery came to life on the pad. Pursing her lips, Abbey didn't want to say anything just in case she messed the girl up. Oh hell, just sit down or something, she told herself. Biting her lip, Abbey sat down and waited for another brief second before finally clearing her throat softly.
"Um, that looks really nice," she managed to spit out finally. Hopefully she didn't mess the girl up, especially since she didn't really mean too.
