Though Chohee's grandmother had quiet a bit of money and lived in a mansion, she was still as frugal as can be. Claiming that the remaining money would be handed down to her granddaughter once she was dead. Chohee had to keep reminding her not to think about death though it was clearly nearing, and instead wanted to take the precious time and spend it wisely, together. She had really bonded with her grandmother after she moved to Japan, and she even felt like a second mother to her. Which, technically, she was, but closer.
Apart from that, Chohee wanted to buy some snacks of her own. She wasn't allowed to take them from the kitchen during the night, and was pretty sure she wasn't allowed to keep ANY food in her own room. Therefore, she wasn't going to let this chance go to waste. Finally, she wouldn't be starving by three o'clock in the morning. That was a good thing, right? She wasn't entirely sure, with those guilty feelings kicking in. But it was for the best. Probably.
Chohee perused around the store for snacks and actual food they needed, feeling quite humble around the commoners. She came here quite often lately, and starting feeling more comfortable using coupons and getting discounts in every way possible. She felt she was doing a good deed by saving money, but at the same time a tinge of guilt for not giving the proper amount of money the people deserved.
Ah, well. It was just a grocery trip.
Along the way, though, Chohee caught several glances and whispers. Apparently she still had that 'rich' air about her, though the only thing that really cost any money were the headphones draped over her neck. Her clothes were casual, and perhaps it was how she looked? Or maybe the commoners had some kind of power. Anyhow, the people who came around here often knew her and would greet her and start little conversations. Though some would find it odd, Chohee didn't feel uncomfortable having a normal conversation with older people, even seniors. To her, they were just like the other teenagers. Just... a bit outdated.
After about an hour of shopping, Chohee found herself with two shopping bags in each hand. Feeling utterly drained with boredom, she ended up in the kids section. With all the toy trucks, barbies, stuffed animals, and fake food. It was a nostalgic feeling she got, and a longing feeling when seeing a family help pick out a toy for their toddler. She picked up a puppy plushie delicately, like it was a fragile treasure that could break easily. Only if she were a kid again. Time sure did fly by.

- - - SET ME FREE LEAVE ME BE - - -I DON'T WANNA FALL ANOTHER MOMENT INTO YOUR GRAVITY• YOU LOVED ME CAUSE I'M FRAGILE WHEN I THOUGHT THAT I WAS STRONG • The question had been a simple one. "Why do you want to go to the commoners market? Can't you be normal and go by whatever you want like the rest of us? Just ask the butler!" That had been Arabelle's reaction when she found out her younger sister was going to the commoners market. Why it mattered made no sense to Abbey, and the fact that her sister was making a big deal out of nothing pissed her off. "I can't let you do this!" It was that comment that had sent Abbey over the edge, and she turned towards her sister, her face angry. "Who the hell do you think you are? Just because mom and dad aren't home doesn't mean you can start ordering me about!" And with that Abbey had stormed out of the house, slamming the front door behind her. It was possible that the minute her mother got home, Arabelle would spill the beans to her. She wouldn't say anything to father since he wouldn't care. After all, he was the only one who ever agreed with Abbey.
Whatever, mother can do what she wants when I get back, Abbey thought, a scowl on her face still. Her blue hat was clutched in her hand and as she walked, the blonde piled her hair onto her head and slipped the hat on top, brushing her bangs out so they hung in their proper place. Honestly, she wasn't even sure as to why she wanted to go to the commoners market. It was probably curiosity. Mother had never really allowed any of them to go there. She never said it outright, but it was an implied feeling, and so Abbey never went. Today was different though. Today, the blonde girl was feeling especially rebellious, and therefore she was going to the market. "I might even buy a few things, just for the hell of it," she mused.
The sun and weather was putting her in a slightly better mood, and by the time she reached the market the scowl had disappeared from her face. Entering the store, Abbey looked around with a slightly raised eyebrow. There didn't seem to be too much of a difference between this and the store she normally went too. Well, except for the price. Damn! she thought, her eyebrows shooting up into her hairline at the cheap price of the food. It was absolute now. Abbey was going to be buying quite a few snacks from this place...and she was probably going to come back. She paid no attention to the looks she was receiving from the people around her. Despite the fact that she was only dressed in a pair of jeans and a black tank-top, it was rather obvious that she had spent a good amount of money on her clothes. After all, two-hundred dollar jeans tended to look different than cheap jeans.
After roaming around for a bit longer, Abbey stepped into a line and paid for her snack items, smiling at the small amount that had popped up on the screen. Such a great day, she thought, grabbing the two bags and stepping away. That was when certain section caught her eye. It was filled with toys and Abbey was suddenly interested. Stepping into the section, she looked around in awe and set down her bags, lifting a Barbie from the shelf. The price sticker on the back floored her and she blinked, "I have a cousin in Germany who would love this." The blonde hadn't meant to speak out loud, but it happened, and she set the Barbie back. That was when she noticed the other girl in the section.
How she hadn't noticed her in the first place was a mystery to Abbey. Her hair was pink, and that wasn't exactly a normal color for hair. Obviously she had colored it at some point, and Abbey gave a small smile before picking up a stuffed animal. Secretly, the blonde loved stuffed toys, and with no one else around as a witness except for a girl she didn't know, Abbey hugged it to her chest momentarily. "I love this store," she said finally, turning to the pink haired girl.
