within the darkness,YOU ARE THE LIGHT THAT SHINES THE WAY BUT YOU’RE TRAPPED IN VIOLENCEi can be the man who saves the day He could hear a symphony of sounds playing, dancing through his ears. Enchanting him to no end. The black haired man merely smiled at the sounds. Repeating themselves in his mind, reminding him of the beauty of nature. He stood there now, his jeans rolled up to his knees basking in the sounds and light that glimmered downwards to the rest of the world.
A crashing sound from the tides, the sounds of gulls squawking as they swooped down to catch their lunches. The gentle whisper of wind flitted past him, hoping to tell the stories that it had heard on its way here. It was all too beautiful. But perhaps he was reading all too much into this. It was more likely that than anything else above all. He didn’t mind it of course. Thinking about things so deeply, it was merely a quirk of his that most had come to accept.
Why had he come here again?
Ryuutarou stared out at the seemingly endless sea, watching quietly as the sun hovered just above the horizon. The lights glimmered to him. It was too beautiful. Was it this scene? This beautiful, beautiful scene? Perhaps. Or was had he stopped here on his way to pick up his sister- Oh crap. His sister. He paled at the thought. Had he really been standing out here that long? His elegant pianist fingers dug into his pocket, drawing out the cell phone and staring at the screen quietly.
Despair seemed to strike him further and further until he felt like he should have just crawled into a hole and died.
“Ryuu, I’m walking home. Okay? I’ll see you there. – Airi”
He nearly screamed at the word ‘walking’. Why? At this time of day? (It was hardly even past noon.) She could have easily gotten jumped! Raped? Oh dear god! His poor baby sister! How could he have done this? HOW? Had he really become so absentminded when it came to this? Ryuu could have nearly wept tears of sorrow. How, how could he have forgotten his dear sister? The one that he claimed as his own, screaming it from the rooftop of their apartment building?
Oh no. He’d have to make it up to her. Yes, that was it! He’d take her shopping, and- and bake her a cake! Yes a cake! …wait, she didn’t like cakes. Ryuu paused in his erratic thoughts, frowning slightly creating a small crease in his forehead. He’d get her flowers! Yes, pretty beautiful flowers!
Oh who was he kidding? Airisu would never forgive him! She never would! He was such a neglectful brother. A shameful neglectful brother! He didn’t deserve her! How could he have forgotten such a precious girl? How?! He had just gotten off from his jobs (ones that he took up purposely for his sister to have everything she wanted) as well!
Oh, despair! How could he have done such a thing?!
Ryuu flailed a bit, crashing to the sandy ground. He didn’t even deserve standing. Oh, woe was him.
Somewhere else in the city of Tokyo…
Airisu blinked, staring at her nails quietly. “He’s probably freaking out by now.” She snorted, walking up to the apartment door and opening it quietly. “He’s such an idiot.”

"Where are you going? Why aren't you going to hang out with me? It's my day off!" Kazumi's mother's voice rang throughout her head and she slapped her hands over her ears, as if this simple action would block out her mother's shrill voice. Unfortunately it did nothing but muffle the noises from the cars that were driving past her. Groaning, she let her hands drop to her sides and shoved them into the pockets of her shorts. Shorts...why am I wearing these damn things? she asked herself, looking down. Well, actually she knew the reason why. Her mother had decided to replace all of her jeans and capri pants with shorts and skirts. No way in hell was she going to be caught dead in a skirt outside of school, even though the shorts she wore barely reached her mid-thigh. And the top she wore wasn't much better. The black tank-top was tight against the chest that she barely had and her flat stomach.
Her flip-flops smacked against the concrete and her fingers played with the cord that led from the over-sized headphones around her neck and to the music player that was in her pockets. "My music. Why the hell didn't I think about that earlier?" she asked herself, speaking out loud and shaking her head at her stupidity. A soft breeze ruffled through the tips of her short black hair and she caught the smell of salt water. Looking up suddenly, Kazumi realized that she was headed towards the beach and she chewed on her bottom lip for a moment. It's not like there was any harm in going down there, but what if there were people who could see her...in her short shorts...and too tight tank-top.
There was a honk and a yell as two boys drove by. That decided it for her. Everyone driving around in their cars or walked down the opposite side of the street had already seen her, so who cares if some people saw her on the beach. Pulling her headphones over her ears, Kazumi turned on her music, allowing the loud rock music to pump through her ears, finally drowning out the shrill voice of her mother. Finally, peace and quiet. When she got down the sandy beach the dark-haired girl was surprised to find that no one was down here, or at least there was no one in sight. Being that it was too hard to walk in the loose sand with her sandals, Kazumi slipped out of them and let them hang between two of her fingers as she walked to where the water slapped against the sand.
The water was cold and her toes dug into the sand for a moment before she continued walking down. There was a vibration in her pocket and Kazumi pulled it out, flipping the phone open and hitting the ignore button on her mother's call. She was the last person that the teenager wanted to talk to. Her brown eyes were cast downward, watching as the water sprayed out whenever her foot lifted from the water and she suddenly kicked a glob of sand out, smiling a little. Looking up, Kazumi stopped suddenly as she noticed one other person on the beach. The man flailed around a little bit and she wondered if he was having some sort of seizure or fit before he plopped himself on the sand.
With her thumbs in her pockets, Kazumi walked over to him and stood next to him for a brief second before pulling her headphones back around her neck. She hadn't realized her music had been so loud and she was able to hear it clearly. Kazumi wasn't sure quite what to do, so she reached her foot out and poked his leg with it, "you look all...emo and stuff," she told him bluntly. She had no idea who the hell this guy was, yet she was talking to him. If her mother found then she'd have a fit.
